Freeware Pop3 and IMAP Email Client For Blackberry

So I told you in a previous post how much I was loving my Blackberry Curve 8320 but I need more email access. I don’t understand this blackberry email blackberry enterprise stuff on here. I tried to setup an account but was told I already have an account. The blackberry email on this phone is just too foreign to me. I want an email client on my Curve that looks like what I’m used to which is a program similar to what I use on my PCs, Outlook Express and Thunderbird.
A Google Search for “Blackberry pop3 client” led me to this site which has led me to LogicMail. LogicMail is a freeware app for Blackberry phones that focuses on handling IMAP email but also takes care of POP3 too! I’m about to download and install it. Let’s see what happens. What I want to do is add my gmail accounts to it. I have 4 of them. One is personal and 3 are for work. I get all of my domain emails forwarded to my gmail accounts. It would be great to get all my email on my phone again like I used to do with my other phones like my Blackjack I and many, many pocket pcs I’ve owned.
Downloading, Installing, and setting up LogicMAil on My Blackberry Curve……
I went outside to have a cigarette break and use the Over-The-Air Installation but the link failed to load. I’m installing from my desktop with the Blackberry Desktop Manager……
The Desktop installation worked. I configured one of my accounts to receive IMAP (gmail) and an outgoing mail server for the same. Everything worked on the first try. Hey, I can’t believe it either. I had no new email in my account but by default, LogicMail still downloaded the most recent 30 emails in all folder. I don’t like that. I can’t figure out how to delete all of them at once to have my folders on my blackberry totally cleared. I’m going to read some of the documentation and see if there is a way to “delete all” so I can start fresh with each account. Spam folder messages also downloaded to my phone which is definitely something I don’t like. I’m also going to check my gmail settings to make sure I don’t have a misconfiguration on that end. All I want is any new emails to show up on my phone and save them as new on gmail so I don’t make any mistakes from my phone.
Oh, and if you’re wondering, I am aware there’s a gmail client for Blackberry devices. The problem with that is Ican only login to one account at a time which is not what I need.
Do you know of a better IMAP/POP email client for Blackberry phones, hopefully one that’s free, leave a comment and link me to it. Thanks!

I love my blackberry curve too! I think the flash on the camera is what sold me. The guy at the store showed me how good the pics come out at night and I immediately imagined all the possibilities with this phone. Along with the camera, everything else about the phone is great! As far as the email client, I will try the one you’re recommending. I hope I can figure it out.
